Gigabyte GeForce-GTX-1660 Graphics Card
The GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER OC has the same exact CUDA core count as the GTX 1660 OC, at 1408, and is based on the same 12 nm TU116 silicon. The GPU clock speeds are unchanged, too, with 1830 MHz core and 1785 MHz GPU Boost. The SUPER-charging of this SKU begins with its memory subsystem. The GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER oc gets 6 GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 14 Gbps, which is faster than even the 12 Gbps GDDR6 memory found on the GTX 1660 Ti and on par with that of the much pricier RTX 2060 in terms of memory bandwidth—336 GB/s, a massive 75 percent increase over the GTX 1660. With it, NVIDIA hopes to shore up performance by up to 20 percent without touching the CUDA core count and stepping on the toes of the GTX 1660 Ti.
WINDFORCE 2X cooling system features 2x 90mm unique blade fans, alternate spinning fan, a composite copper heat pipe direct touch GPU and 3D active fan functionality, together delivering an effective heat dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures. The GIGABYTE “Alternate Spinning” is the only solution that can solve the turbulent airflow of adjacent fans. The shape of the pure copper heat pipe maximizes the direct contact area with the GPU, enhancing heat transfer. The composite heat-pipe combines thermal conductivity and phase transition to efficiently manage the heat transfer between two solid interfaces which increases cooling capacity. The graphics card uses the better power phases design to allow the MOSFET to operate at lower temperature, and over-temperature protection design and load balancing for each MOSFET, plus the Ultra Durable certified chokes and capacitors, to provide excellent performance and longer system life.
